We need YOU - to be a Merit Badge Instructor at MBU! We'd love to have you join our Team. We do our best to offer the core badges every Scout expects. Plus, we like to offer those 'rare' and new badges that are kind of hard to find. Complete our registration form, list all the merit badges you teach and we'll get right back to you on how to get started with MBU. Not sure you're up to teaching a class by yourself? In 1997, Scoutmaster Keith Miller and some fellow Scouters hosted the 1st Merit Badge University for Three Fires Council. The turnout was light - only about 100 Scouts. They brought sack lunches and ate in the hallway. Today, nearly 2,000 Scouts and more than 300 Volunteers attend and run MBU. Scouts come from 9 States and 15 Councils to take advantage of this annual event. We teach 90+ merit badges, deliver hundreds of classes and serve thousands of meals on the big day.
